Study Skills

Dr. Sachs believes that study skills should be individualized. Your student's skills are evaluated and an individualized program is developed. For example, some students need more assistance with organization and preparing for tests, while other students are challenged by the actual study skills of note taking, prioritizing, outlining and time management.

Test Prep

Whether a student is in elementary school, high school or college, testing is one way teachers’ measure academic performance. Many students do not know how to approach a testing situation and may become anxious knowing that a test is looming. Knowing the material is paramount to success on tests, but also knowing strategies to “unpack” the question is important to successful test taking. Teaching children strategies to attack standardized tests reduces “test anxiety” and equips them with the confidence and tools to succeed.
